Gaylord’s City Council recently voted 4-1 to hire another Public Works Director.  Ty Reimers has held the position for approximately a decade. Reimers announced his resignation last month.  For more details, see the July 2nd edition of The Gaylord Hub.

A wedding reception was held at Gaylord’s Oaks Lakeside Pavilion on Saturday, June 27th.  The pavilion, which previously served as a roller rink, was transformed into an event venue a couple of years ago.  For rental rates and availability, contact the City of Gaylord at 507-237-2338.

The primary ballot continues to grow in Sibley County.  A total of six county commissioner candidates were added this past week as the filing period winds down.  For more on the commissioner and Sibley County Sheriff races, see the June 4th edition of The Gaylord Hub.

Four individuals were recognized with Certificates of Continuous Membership at Gaylord’s Memorial Day Ceremony.  Waldo Reckdahl, William Otto and Donald Marth were all recognized for being Legion Post members for 50 years.  Marlene Kloeckl was recognized for 65 years of continuous membership to the Legion Auxiliary.

Theater students from Sibley East and GFW will present The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon this weekend at the Sibley East Middle School/High School auditorium in Arlington.  Show times are Friday and Saturday (7:00 p.m.) and Sunday (2:00 p.m.).
