Sibley East’s legion baseball team lost to Watertown Monday, finishing the regular season with a 12-1 record.  The Wolverines are the #1 seed for the sub-state tournament which starts this weekend in Cologne and Norwood.  For more on Sibley East and its first round foe, see this week’s Hub.

Tyler Vaughan is the new Sibley East boys’ basketball coach.   His hiring became official at the June 20th school board meeting.  This isn’t the first time Sibley East has had an encounter with Vaughan.  See more in the June 30th issue of The Hub.

Rodning undergoes surgery

Sibley East graduate Brody Rodning, who is in the Toronto Blue Jays minor league system, underwent Tommy John Surgery on Wednesday to replace a ligament in his elbow.  The injury will sideline the lefthanded pitcher for the 2022 season.
