Islanders heading to State Tournament

For the third time in the last six seasons, Gaylord’s amateur baseballers have earned a state tournament berth.  The Islanders won a spot in State Tuesday by defeating St. Peter 8-2 in the Region 6C Tournament.  It marked Gaylord’s eighth victory in its last ten outings.  For more details and state tournament bracket, see next…

Primary Election results

And then there was two.  These Sibley County Commissioner candidates were the top vote-getters in Tuesday’s primary election.   District 3 (which includes the City of Gaylord): Lyle Grochow (161) and Fred Latzke (154); District 1: Peter Koch (291) and Morris W. Lieske (268); District 2: James Soeffker (212) and Christian Lilienthal (125).
