Rain providing bit of relief

The dry weather pattern that much of Minnesota has been experiencing this summer appears to be changing.  Gaylord and the surrounding area received approximately two inches of rain this past weekend.  There was another soaking rain Tuesday morning and wet weather is in the forecast over the next five days.

First responders recognized for lifesaving efforts

Members of Gaylord’s Police Department and Ambulance Service, and Sibley County Sheriff’s Deputies were recognized at Wednesday’s city council meeting with Lifesave Awards.  The honor stems from an incident in May when first responders helped save a woman who was suffering from a medical emergency.  Awards were presented to each first responder, and their corresponding…
