City and county engineers hosted a walking open house along Lincoln Avenue Tuesday to discuss plans for a sidewalk.  The project, which will be heavily funded by a grant, is scheduled for 2023.  More on the open house will be published in our May 27th edition.

  City workers are busy cleaning the Gaylord Area Aquatic Center this week.  The pool here is scheduled to open on Monday, June 7th.

There are now stop signs at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Second Street.  Gaylord’s City Council approved controlling Jefferson Avenue traffic at the intersection after a collision there earlier this month.  Other uncontrolled intersections in town will also be evaluated.
